Kia first unveiled the all-new Cadenza sedan at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. The model that marks Kia’s entering into the premium sedan segment. The 2014 Kia Cadenza is a luxury sedan because there are many available technology features on it, and it's Kia's first venture up-market from the mainstream consumer cars. The new Cadenza will join Kia’s current lineup of sedan models that includes: Forte, Optima and Rio, and will go on sale in the second quarter of this year.
Designed by Peter Schreyer, the 2014 Kia Cadenza features a design language inspired by Kia’s European models. Up front, it is distinguished by an aggressive "Tiger Nose" front fascia, quad headlamps flanking the grille, and chrome accents around the grille and the fog lights. The headlamps come standard with LED technology, but as an option Kia is also offering HID technology. While at the rear, the Cadenza receives standard LED taillights and a new exhaust system with twin oval tail pipes.
When viewed from the side, it’s pretty easy to distinguish Cadenza’s imposing long nose, the long hood and lots of gracefully sculpted lines running from the front-door cutline and going down to the taillights. The side also features numerous chrome accents at the lower portions of the doors and the exterior mirrors.
For the interior, 2014 Kia Cadenza offers an impressive level of equipment on the inside. Customers enjoy a cabin that combines soft leather upholstery combined with wood and chrome accents, and an ambient lightning.
The center control has been specially designed to offer the driver the optimum control, while an available large 7-inch high-resolution TFT LCD screen in the gauge cluster showcases a wide range of vehicle information including turn-by-turn navigation and infotainment.
Every Cadenza is fitted with a 3.3-liter V6 generating 293 horsepower and 255 pound-feet of torque. The engine utilizes gasoline direct injection (GDI) technology that improves performance while producing fewer emissions. It sends its thrust to the front wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission.
2014 Kia Cadenza Features
The 2014 Kia Cadenza is a large sedan that comes in one very well-equipped trim level. Standard features include 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights, foglights, rain-sensing wipers, power-folding sideview mirrors, keyless ignition/entry, dual-zone automatic climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, leather upholstery, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, 10-way power driver seat, four-way power passenger seat, heated front seats and a ventilated driver seat. Standard high-tech features include a rearview camera, rear park assist, an 8-inch touchscreen display, Kia's Uvo voice command system, a navigation system, Bluetooth phone/audio and a 12-speaker Infinity sound system with a CD player, satellite radio and USB/iPod/auxiliary audio inputs.
Options are grouped into packages. The Premium package includes active xenon headlights, a panoramic sunroof, a windshield wiper de-icer, a 7-inch gauge cluster display, upgraded leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, driver memory settings, a power driver seat cushion extender and a power rear window sunshade.
The Technology package features 19-inch alloy wheels, adaptive cruise control, an electronic parking brake, water-repellent front windows and blind spot/lane departure warning systems.
Lastly, there is the White package, which includes white leather upholstery, added wood-grain accents and suede headliner/sun visor/rear shelf trim.

MSRP $35,100 for Cadenza standard features. MSRP $38,100 for Cadenza Premium Package. MSRP $41,100 for Cadenza Technology Package. MSRP excludes destination and handling, taxes, title, license fees, options and retailer charges. Actual prices set by retailer and may vary.
